January 25 - February 2, Press Release

January 25
Unknown person(s) cut the lock on a construction work equipment trailer in Bawlf.  The trailer was entered; however nothing appeared to be missing.

January 28
Camrose RCMP entered into a Forcible Confinement investigation.  A 38 year old male is facing criminal charges.

A truck driver is facing charges for an unsecure load after pipes fell off his truck.   Highway 21 was temporarily blocked while crews worked to clean up the intersection.  Camrose County assisted in rerouting traffic while Commercial Vehicle Enforcement assisted in investigating the collision.

An unknown vehicle failed to stop at a dead end road and drove through the guardrail and into a ditch.  No vehicle description was available as the incident occurred at night.  Camrose County was notified of the damaged guardrail.

January 29
Police were called in regards to a family relations issue. RCMP spoke with all parties involved and advised them of their rights. The situation was mediated.

January 30
A two vehicle non-injury collision was reported after a car was rear-ended on Highway 13.

January 31
Police received a report of a single vehicle rollover.  Slippery road conditions were believed to be a factor. No injuries to vehicle occupants.

February 2
Members assisted in dealing with a mental health complaint after a male was making suicidal comments.

Three people have been arrested in relation to a major stolen property file.  It is believed these suspects may be associated to the property theft files in the County of Camrose.
 

January 21-28, Press Release

January 20
Police responded to a non-injury two vehicle collision at the Highway 21 & 13 intersection. A 46 year old male was charged with failing to proceed safely after stopping at intersection.

A blue 2001 Chevrolet Silverado half ton, extended cab truck was stolen overnight from a residence in the county of Bawlf. Suspect(s) attempted to steal a second vehicle, but were unsuccessful after getting stuck in a snow bank.

Police received a call of an attempted theft of flat deck trailer at a Hanson Street residence in Bawlf. The suspect was scared away when homeowner turned on the exterior lights. The suspect vehicle is described as being a black dodge quad cab truck. This occurred at 2:30 AM.

A collision was reported at the intersection of Highway 21 & 13. Camrose RCMP responded along with Camrose Fire, EMS and STARS. Camrose Fire used the jaws of life to extract one injured driver who was transported to Edmonton by STARS. This matter is still under investigation.

January 21
A flat deck trailer with was stolen from a Bawlf residence overnight. The trailer was located in the Tofield area with one skidoo missing. The skidoo is described as being a 2002 Polaris XCSP, black in color.

Fuel was stolen overnight from Miquelon Lake and Round Hill. Please report any suspicious activity to RCMP.

A complaint of a disturbance at a residence resulted in a 47 year old male facing charges of Impaired Care or Control of Motor Vehicle and Care or Control of Motor Vehicle over 80mg%.

January 25
A male called claiming to be with Microsoft and gained access to personal computers. Please be aware of scams such as these. If you receive any fraudulent letters, emails or phone calls, call the RCMP Anti-fraud centre at 1-888-495-5801.

January 13-20, Press Release

January 16
A county resident was victim to a fraud after she allowed someone claiming to be with ‘Windows’ access to her computer. Camrose RCMP reminds people to be very cautious of telephone frauds.

January 18
A white 1992 GMC Sierra was stolen from a back alley in Hay Lakes sometime between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM.

January 19
A truck was entered and several documents and fuel cards were stolen. Determined a fuel card has been used at several locations. This matter is currently being investigated.
A large number of tools were reported dumped near an Enerplus wellsite. Police are investigating.

January 20
Police received a report of a suspicious person in Bawlf. The individual was scared away driving a black dodge quad cab truck after attempting to steal a flat deck trailer.

January 1-12, Press Release

Police are investigating a theft from the Camrose Cargill plant. 9 trailers were broken into and several items were stolen. A white Wells Cargo trailer containing numerous hand tools was also stolen. If you have any information, please contact Camrose RCMP.

January 2
A break and enter was reported at a construction site near Kingman. Copper metal was stolen.

January 10
A utility trailer was found abandoned and blocking the road. Checks revealed the trailer was stolen from Bashaw 2 days prior. The trailer was returned to the owner. This matter is under investigation.

January 11
A black 2006 Ford F350 was stolen overnight from a Bawlf residence. A red and black snow blower was in the box of the truck.

December 5-12, Press Release

December 5th, 2014
Police responded to a request to for a welfare check for an elderly male who lived alone out in the County.  The male had not been seen or heard from for several days.  Upon arrival at the residence the male was found deceased in his home.  The investigation has deemed the matter to be non-criminal in nature.

December 8th, 2014
Police were notified of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the Ohaton Community Center.  Upon arrival police located a stolen Ford F350. This matter remains under investigation.  Anyone with any information pertaining to this case is encouraged to contact police.

December 10, 2014
Police were advised of a truck stolen sometime over night  from the town of Bawlf. This matter remains under investigation.

December 11, 2014
Police responded to an early morning collision at the intersection of Highway 834 and Highway 26. The incident resulted in property damage to both vehicles.  A driver was charged with making an unsafe left turn.

Police responded to an evening collision that interrupted traffic flow on Hwy.21 and 13.  A sedan was involved in a motor vehicle collision with a semi-tractor trailer.  The male driver of the sedan was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 

November 27 - December 4, Press Release

November 27
Police responded to a report of a sudden death.  The matter is not suspicious in nature. Camrose EMS and Camrose & District Victim Services Unit assisted.

November 29
Several calls were received about an abandoned vehicle west of Camrose.  Police were unable to contact the Registered Owner.  A 72 hour tow notice was placed on the truck.

December 1
Mailboxes at the Sanctuary Estates mailboxes were entered after lock rings were cut to gain access.

A Canadian Natural Resource employee reported an attempted theft from an oilfield site near New Norway.  A light green 2000 Dodge Caravan was observed at the scene.  Please contact RCMP if you have any information regarding this vehicle.

December 2

A flow meter was stolen from an oilfield site near Bittern Lake.

November 20-27, Press Release

November 20
Approximately 1000 litres was stolen from the New Norway area.

Camrose RCMP responded to a 2 vehicle collision on Highway 833.  No serious injuries were reported.

November 22
RCMP received reports of a family dispute.  After dealing with all parties involved, police mediated the situation.

RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 56.  No serious injuries to the 26 year old driver or her 2 year old son.

RCMP attended the scene after a 1 ton Dodge truck was involved in a non-injury single vehicle rollover on Highway 13.  Road conditions were noted to be extremely poor.

November 23
A truck slid over an embankment and rolled into a creek near New Norway.  Occupants were not injured.  Alcohol and/or drugs were not believed to be a factor.

An intoxicated female was arrested for breach of peace after police responded to a disturbance complaint in the County of Camrose.

November 25
A 2 vehicle collision on Range Road 211 resulted in a broken power pole and power lines were down across one of the vehicles. Occupants were uninjured. A 64 year old driver was issued a Violation Ticket for driving at an unreasonable speed.

November 26
7 stop signs and yield signs were stolen from different intersections in the County of Camrose.  Please report any information to the Camrose RCMP.

Camrose RCMP assisted in executing a Mental Health Warrant. The male subject was transported to Ponoka for assessment and was released without incident.
